There’s something deeply personal about Passiflora. In this episode of A Peek in Paradise, we revisit architect Alejandra Cisneros as she takes us inside the very first joglo she ever built in Bali — a home that still holds a special place in her heart. From the moment she discovered the beautiful three-tiered Javanese structure, with its subtle blue-flecked timber, she knew she wanted to create something simple, soulful, and deeply connected to nature. What followed was a design journey shaped as much by intuition as architecture. Wanting to create more privacy in the bedroom, Alejandra found herself wandering through Denpasar when she spotted an old wooden panel sitting by the side of the road. By pure chance, it was the exact size she needed. Flipped upside down, the forgotten door became a beautiful handcrafted shutter — one of many thoughtful details that give the home its quiet magic.
